You can pick this up on Amazon. It currently sells for $309. I paid $250 on a Black Friday 2020 deal. You can go broke saving money on Black Friday tech deals.
Amazon lists this Samsung NVMe SSD Drive as SAMSUNG 970 EVO Plus SSD 2TB – M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology (MZ-V7S2T0B/AM). I am not sure why Amazon uses such crazy long names in the description.
I am going to use this drive with a Thunderbolt 3 external enclosure and my MacBook Pro 16. I as editing some 4K videos with Final Cut Pro and Final Cut used up all the space on my 1TB internal drive. I think what happened is that final Cut starts background rendering and that chewed up all my disk space.
I’m going to put the Samsung 2TB 970 SSD into an OWC Thunderbolt 3 Drive Enclosure to create large external storage drive for my Mac.
